The Bainbridge Island Little League community will always remember Baden and Troy Biddle. These two giants of Bainbridge Little League live on as an inspiration to us all.
Baden was a part of the Bainbridge Island Little League from T-ball through majors. He was a member of three All-Star teams that went on to represent Bainbridge at the State Tournament. Baden was also a multi-sport athlete, playing football and basketball as well. He was recently named to the 7th grade Woodward Middle School basketball team.
Off the field, Baden had a great ear for music, played guitar, and listened to everything from classic rock to rap. Like his father, Baden had an analytical mind, was incredibly observant, possessed a sharp wit and although somewhat reserved, was quietly self-assured for his age. And like his mom, Baden seized every opportunity to create memories with friends and never took himself too seriously.
Friend and former Bainbridge Island Little League President Tim Duffy remembers Troy as, “a guy who gave countless hours to the league both on and off the field. Troy helped coach on every one of Baden’s regular and post season teams. He stepped up as VP of Baseball at a critical time in the league’s history when no one else would take the job. He gave three years on the board, with two as the VP of Baseball. Troy was the kind of guy who would go pick up kids for practice or bring them home if it meant the kid could play ball, and then head to a board meeting and still maintain his day job. He never said no...be it the pancake breakfast, field projects or annual evaluations, Troy was there.”
