Black 98 brings home 2nd in Duke City Shootout

The girls of Black 98 traveled down this past weekend to Albuquerque for the Duke City Shootout. They started off winning the first game of the weekend 3-0 over the New Mexico Sting East team with a great defensive effort and a solid performance from the girls up top. In the afternoon game they fell to Chaos 2-0 in a tightly contested game that could have gone either way, with both teams having numerous chances on goal. With the championship game on the line, the girls came out on fire Sunday morning, beating Gallup Pride 5-0 and not giving up one shot on goal. Though they fell to Chaos in the championship game, the girls played great all weekend, earning themselves their first 2nd place medal, and having a great time!
